Research
We are a research active Practice, enabling our patients to have access to different research studies.
Many studies disseminate information via text message, so we wanted to make you aware that in the future you may receive information about a study from us via text message.
Please be assured that your personal information is safe and not accessed by studies teams until you decide and consent to participate in a particular study."
What is Post-COVID Syndrome?
Many people who contract COVID often feel better in a few days or weeks and most will make a full recovery within 4 weeks. But for some people, symptoms can last longer, and recovery can feel much harder. This can be described as Post-COVID Syndrome (also known as Long COVID). Please click on the link below for more information about this and about the Post Covid Rehabilitation Service.

Blood Appointments
If you have been asked to have a blood test for a consultant or hospital appointment you must attend the hospital phlebotomy department.
Your GP surgery is not responsible for taking bloods for hospital treatments or follow up appointments.
General Practice Data for planning and research (GPDRP)
Why NHS Digital collects general practice data
NHS Digital is the national custodian for health and care data in England and has responsibility for standardising, collecting, analysing, publishing and sharing data and information from across the health and social care system, including general practice.
NHS Digital collected data from general practices using a service called the General Practice Extraction Service (GPES), which has operated for over 10 years and now needs to be replaced.
For more information about the changes or to opt out go to General Practice Data for Planning and Research (GPDPR) - NHS Digital
Prescribing of Over The Counter Medicines
Over the counter medicines for minor health concerns are available to buy in a pharmacy or local supermarket in your local community. Our practice follows NHS England's guidance on this and will not generally give you a prescription for medicines which can be bought over the counter. Please follow the link below to read the guidance in full.
